If Mourinho decides his Europa League experiment against Rostov was a success, Mkhitaryan and Fellaini could both get the chance to shine in a forward role.
United could match Chelsea’s three-at-the-back system, with Antonio Valencia and Luke Shaw providing width from the wing-back positions.
Fellaini would offer a direct route to cause Chelsea problems, while Mkhitaryan would be able to feed off him further up the pitch.
In their absence, Mourinho will have to adopt a very different approach to the game and he may even spring a tactical surprise.
